Inpatient Rehabilitation Center
The Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation at Longview Regional Medical Center is dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives after illness and injury. We believe that recovery encompasses both mind and body, so our services address both the mental and physical aspects of rehabilitation. The rehabilitation team includes knowledgeable, caring professionals who are dedicated to providing quality care and support.
To be eligible for admission, the individual must meet the following criteria:
- Require daily access to a rehabilitation physician, who will oversee the patient’s medical needs and functional plan of care
- Require 24-hour rehab nursing
- Need at least two forms of therapy (PT, OT and/or speech)
- Be able to tolerate a relatively intense therapy program, consisting of at least three hours of therapy per day, five days a week
- Have the ability to achieve rehabilitation goals and demonstrate weekly progress
Services provided by Longview Regional Inpatient Rehabilitation Center are covered by most major medical insurance carriers, including Medicare.

The Facility
We provide care for individuals needing intense inpatient therapy, which is defined as a minimum of three hours of daily therapy for at least five days a week. We also provide complex inpatient care with close medical supervision and 24-hour rehab nursing.
Patients increase their independence under the direction of licensed therapists through a variety of interventions and modalities with access to a specialized therapy gym to maximize their progress. We offer private rooms and care for adults18 years of age and older.
The unit is also supported by a wide array of Longview Regional Healthcare System resources - all of which are available to meet the needs of our patients.
Helping a Variety of Patients
We serve patients with a variety of diagnoses from post-surgical recovery to chronic medical conditions that can benefit from our rehabilitation program, including:
- Amputation
- Brain injury
- Cardiac and pulmonary issues
- Guillain-Barre
- Hip fractures
- Joint replacements
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple trauma
- Polyneuropathy
- Spinal cord injury
- Stroke
In addition, any patient with decreased physical functioning resulting in a decrease in their safety and ability to perform their daily tasks may also be considered for admission.
Individualized Rehabilitation Plans Can Make the Difference.
All patients admitted to the inpatient rehabilitation facility are evaluated by the skilled clinical team. They develop an individualized rehabilitation plan to address his or her specific needs and goals. The team actively involves both patients and their loved ones in this process. Each week, team meetings are held to discuss patient progress and to revise goals, if necessary.
