Cardiopulmonary Services
Your heart is a muscle that demands the same attention as any other muscle in your body—take care of it, and it will take care of you. Longview Regional Medical Center's cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program is dedicated to helping patients with a history of cardiac and pulmonary issues get the information, motivation, encouragement and guidance they need to help their hearts—and lifestyles—be healthier.
The staff, in conjunction with your physician, will work to support you throughout the program. Our goal: to give you the confidence, knowledge, motivation, encouragement and professional guidance to help you adapt to a new, more healthful lifestyle.

Cardiopulmonary Rehab
What is Cardiac Rehabilitation?
Cardiac rehabilitation is an important recovery step for people with coronary artery disease, angina, those recovering from a heart attack or heart surgery, stent placement, valve repair or replacement, congestive heart failure (CHF) and other heart conditions.
This specialized program combines education and exercise to help heart patients return to a healthy, active lifestyle. Cardiac rehabilitation typically begins after patients are discharged from the hospital—usually four to six weeks following their heart event or surgery. The outpatient program is generally recommended by a patient’s cardiologist.
