Spiritual Care
The healing process takes place over time, through many processes and in many ways – and not all of them have to do with medicine or the body. At Longview Regional Medical Center, we're happy to assist with guidance of another type, whether by staff or a clergy member of your choosing.
The chapel is located in the fourth floor ICU waiting area. The chapel is open 24 hours a day for your convenience and spiritual needs. Prayer request cards are located on the chapel altar and can be completed at your leisure.
In order to meet the spiritual needs of patients and their significant others, a volunteer on-call chaplain from the chaplain's association is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The chaplain's association is a group of local pastors from area churches who volunteer their time to serve as hospital chaplain.
Please notify your nurse, case manager or social worker if you have a specific need for a chaplain to visit. The staff will notify the on-call chaplain of your request. The chaplains also have prayer request cards which are located in all hospital waiting rooms for you and or your family to complete. We would also be glad to assist in contacting your minister for you.
