“Longview Regional’s Stars Over Longview program is unique to our community because it brings light to those who are making a difference behind the scenes,” said Libby Bryson, Director of Marketing for Longview Regional Medical Center. “This year more than 50 women were nominated from the community. Each nomination is a wonderful story telling of the many ways these women are helping influence the future of Longview and the women who call Longview home.”
The LRMC Women’s Advisory Council (WAC) is comprised of 20 local businesswomen, community volunteers and activists. Each year council members tirelessly pour themselves into the selection process and continue to take a great amount of pride in annually presenting these women as Stars Over Longview with a formal Luncheon Awards Ceremony.
“I hope when people see my name on the list they realize that anyone can be someone who makes a difference. You just have to change your ‘someone should’ to ‘I’m someone and I will,’ ” said Amy Canton, a 2019 Stars Over Longview honoree.

Since its inception in 2009, The Giving Keys has provided jobs to more than 70 people affected by homelessness.
“Stars Over Longview highlights the exceptional women who impact our community,” LRMC CEO Casey Robertson said. “This event was created so that LRMC could take time to recognize the amazing efforts of women in our community – through their time, talents and generosity of motivating others to by their service, to serve in our community.”

About the Keynote Speaker: Caitlin Crosby
Actress, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur Caitlin Crosby began writing songs with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds in high school and subsequently signed to his label, Arista Records. Working in the entertainment industry inspired Caitlin to launch the campaign LoveYourFlawz with Oscar winner Brie Larson to support women dealing with body image issues. Caitlin released her first album “Flawz” in 2009 through Blackledge/Atlantic Records. While on tour, Caitlin started The Giving Keys, a jewelry company that gives jobs to those affected by homelessness. Each product carries an inspiring message like FEARLESS, HOPE, BELIEVE or COURAGE. When the wearer encounters someone else who needs the message - they are encouraged to embrace their word, then Pay It Forward by giving their product to a person who needs the message more. Since its conception in 2009, The Giving Keys has provided job opportunities to more than 70 people who have been affected by homelessness, helping many move into permanent housing, and collected thousands of giving stories. Caitlin’s story and mission behind The Giving Keys has been featured on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, The Today Show, People Magazine, The Huffington Post and many other media outlets . In 2010, she was chosen as a spokesperson for Oprah’s top 10 favorite charities. Since then, her speaking circuit has expanded. Caitlin has received the Nelson Mandela Changemakers Award, and was selected as one of Oprah’s 2016 Super Soul 100 honorees.
